It is the first report of its kind from HEXPOL TPE, part of the global polymer group HEXPOL, who publish an annual <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/investors.hexpol.com\/press-releases?page=\/perma\/press\/1905863\"><strong>Sustainability Report<\/strong><\/a><strong> according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f004bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5f004bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve put this report together to show the environmental impact of HEXPOL TPE\u2019s European operations in terms of the energy and water we consume and the waste we produce. It\u2019s a zoomed-in version of the HEXPOL Group Sustainability Report. The scope isn\u2019t as wide, but it focusses on how we\u2019re doing at our companies in Sweden, the UK and Germany\u201d, explained <strong>Kirsty Wood<\/strong>, sustainability lead at HEXPOL TPE.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ce3ae40 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ce3ae40\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Energy usage is one of the areas HEXPOL TPE is tackling. Work involving surveys and measures to increase efficiency continued in 2020 as well as investment in energy efficient equipment and infrastructure. The report includes performance over a three-year period. There was a reduction in energy consumption of 4,345 MWh from 2019 to 2020, despite an increase in total volume produced. The HEXPOL TPE companies work within the ISO 14001 and\/or ISO 50001 frameworks and from 2021 all European sites are using 100% renewable electricity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8fa9898 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8fa9898\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Water consumption and waste generation also showed a downward trend for 2020.
