What does your job involve, what are some typical tasks?
In a simplified way you could explain my job as being the link between our customers products and our materials. I´m supposed to match the specification of requirements the customer has for their product with our stock of materials. If that´s not possible I have to modify the recipe alternatively develop a new compound that matches the requirements.
Another part of my job is technical support. It can be about discussing a problem through virtual Teams meetings or at physical visits to our customers plants. Sometimes we participate in trial runs when our customers are doing new products or if there, for some reason, are challenges with the production of current products. Often, we know more than our customers about how our materials behave in the manufacturing processes hence we are an appreciated help to them. It also offers us a great opportunity to build relationships when showing our commitment. Technical support is free when you do business with us at HEXPOL TPE.
What makes your job interesting?Â
It´s the big variation of assignments which makes my job interesting, at the same time as it is challenging. A lot of my job is about problem solving which I really enjoy. I often compare my job to waking up at Christmas as a child. You have great expectations on what´s in the packages under the Christmas three. In the same way as on Christmas eve all gift packages are not equally fun to receive, but most of them are fun. Some of them are great surprises and others are things you have been waiting for in a long time.Â
What's your favourite thing about working at HEXPOL TPE?
The ambition level and drive of those who work at HEXPOL TPE is high which in turn creates a culture where we strive to get better all the time, that´s inspiring. In addition, we have a lot of fun at work and laugh a lot. I would like to stick my neck out and say that we have, if not the world´s, then at least Sweden’s best workplace.
