What does your job involve, what are some typical tasks?
Most of my time is spent overseeing the day-to-day planning and efficient running of the production lines and managing the production staff (21 guys at present). And liaising with colleagues from other departments within the business, so that together we achieve the weekly, monthly and overall targets to satisfy customer demands.
What makes your job interesting?
Every day brings a different challenge. Plans can change hour by hour, especially in the current climate we have found ourselves working under due to the Pandemic and Brexit situations.
It is interesting to interact with all the people across the business regularly. I get to speak to and hear from a broad spectrum of colleagues daily and get to hear everyone’s opinions and ideas.
It can be quite satisfying to see a large project go from an initial enquiry through to its development stage, onto the manufacturing process, quality approval and finally to an end product that we can all be proud of.
What's your favourite thing about working at HEXPOL TPE?
With working here for such a long time and previously spending sixteen years on the factory floor, I have made many close and valued friends over the years.
It can be a real sense of achievement when we succeed with our plans as a team, whether that be on a daily, monthly, or annual basis. In my current role, it can also be very satisfying when I can do something to help a colleague, whether that be on a personal or professional level.
